Not Working on iPhone
1. Make sure their phone works with AYR Tap Device: Compatible DevicesThe phone model you have does not matter when sharing! Simply text your profile URL to non-device-compatible phones.
2. Make sure to slowly tap your AYR Tap Device to the very top of the back of the other device.On iPhones, the best place for reading an AYR Tap Device is on the very top of the back of the device.
3. An AYR Tap Device CANNOT be read when:
- their phone is in airplane mode
- their device flashlight is on
- their phone screen is off
- their camera is open
Not Working on Android
1. Make sure their phone works with AYR Tap Device: Compatible Devices The phone model you have does not matter when sharing! Simply text your profile URL to non-device-compatible phones.
2. Make sure to touch your AYR Tap Device to the very center of the back of their phone. For Androids, the best place for reading an AYR Tap Device is in the center of the back of the device OR along the bottom of the device. A small majority of devices will work best by tapping AYR to the top of the device.
3. Turn on NFC capabilities in their phone settings If their phone is on the compatible devices list and is still not reading your AYR Tap Device, go to their phone settings and search for NFC. Make sure that "NFC" is turned on.
My AYR Tap keeps sending me notifications | where to place/stick your device on your phone
For iPhones: Place your AYR Tap Device on the bottom of your phone. If you place it at the top, it will constantly trigger your own phone's NFC reader.
For most Androids -- Place your AYR Tap Device on the bottom of your phone.
For Samsung Galaxy/Note devices -- Place your AYR Tap Device at the top of your phone by your camera. If your AYR Tap Device is setting off your own phone, move it to the bottom of your iPhone or to either the top or bottom of your Android (whichever works best for your specific device).
For Galaxies/Notes, AYR Tap works better when placed at the top by the camera. Make sure and try a placement FIRST before you stick your AYR Tap Device.
What is AYR Connect?
AYR Connect is an easier way to share your online presence with a simple tap and a click. You can tap your AYR device to the back of your friend’s phone, or, simply text them the link to your profile. Goodbye business cards and awkward pauses in conversation! We put contact sharing at your reach.
Does the other person need a device or user account to use my device?
No! The other person just needs to have a compatible device and an internet connection. Even if their device is not NFC compatible, you can still text them your link.
Can I have multiple devices linked to 1 account?
Definitely! You can always place another order and have multiple devices linked to the same profile page.

Will AYR work through phone cases?
You got it! AYR Tap devices will work through most phone cases, including ones that hold credit cards. The only exception being if your case has a layer of metal that prevents the device from picking up a signal from AYR Tap.
What devices can I tap to?
For iPhones, the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, SE and all future iPhones are compatible with the Tap feature of the AYR Tap Device.
When reading from the iPhone 7 through X, make sure you are updated to iOS 14 or newer and have the NFC widget handy.
Virtually all Android Smartphones are compatible with the Tap feature of the AYR Tap Device. Please visit our compatible devices page to ensure that your smartphone is on the list.
How do I share with non-compatible devices?
Easy! Simply text your AYR Connect profile URL to their phone and have them click the link to access your profile.
How to turn on NFC on an Android device
Some Android phones have NFC switched off by default. If your Android is not reading AYR Tap Devices, go to your phone settings and search for "NFC". Then make sure you have this setting enabled.

How do I sign up for an account?
To sign up for an account, simply click the “Login | Signup” button in the main navigation menu at the top of the website. At the bottom of the login popup, click “Sign up Here.” Complete the required fields and click submit. After the system creates your profile, you will receive an email at the address you provided during signup. Click the link in the email to complete your registration and set up your profile.
Do I need to activate my AYR Tap?
No! Your AYR Tap device will come to you ready to use! No activation required.
Can I change my URL?
We do not support custom URLs at this time. This feature is coming soon!
